As a young girl growing up in York Township which has long since been swallowed up within the giant City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada I excelled in all subjects at school with the exception of GEOGRAPHY.
I found it impossible to imagine a world outside the few city blocks where I played, went to school, lined up for Saturday matinees and attended Sunday School.
While I would achieve "A's "in most subjects, throughout my school years I did well if I received a "C" in geography.
Maybe this is why my world travels and adventures have meant so much to me.
I have cruised the Caribbean; walked through the slums of Bangkok; visited children's play centres in Seoul, Korea; have been honoured to join the inner circle with the monarchs of San Pedro de Casta; have witnessed the boiling earth in Rotorua; have been swimming at Waikiki Beach; met my beautiful foster daughters in Puno, Peru and Thailand; experienced the glory of being 14000 feet up in the Andes Mountains; explored crystal caves in Bermuda; learned how to talk like a Kiwi; met TUTO's founder in Connecticut; flew over the Nazda Lines in Peru; walked the country roads on Prince Edward Island; experienced nightmare bus rides in Caracas; and now I'm at home walking through the peaceful woods with Dudley in my beautiful City of Elliot Lake.
I have learned a "little" geography.....I have been blessed.
I want to share some of my travel experiences, adventures, and dream fulfillments with you . This is a photo site so I ask for your patience while the pics are downloading.
I will also do my best to draw my pictures with words and hope you will enjoy my stories as I draw from memory and recall many of the beautiful places on this planet I have experienced.
I have many stories to tell so please consider this series "under construction" for some time to come. I will share each page with you as I record my adventures and I hope you will enjoy re-visiting these beautiful places with me.
It is my pleasure to share with you the beautiful people I've been blessed to meet; the feelings I brought away with me and some of the adventures that have enriched my life and made me realize that it truly is a small world after all. :-)
